Every call is recorded

When RemCall rings you, the call is recorded and transcribed from the moment it connects until it ends. This cannot be switched off, because the recording and transcript are the record of what the reminder said and what you asked for. Anyone else in the room or on speakerphone is recorded too, so it's your responsibility to let them know the call is recorded.

What we collect

Your phone number, password, country and timezone from sign-up; your first and last name and profile picture if you add them; the reminders you create; and, for every call we place, the audio recording, a full text transcript, an AI-written summary, an automatic label for how you sounded, the call duration and why it ended. We do not sell any of it.

How we use it

To schedule and place reminder calls at the time you set in your timezone, to show you your own call history, to bill you for the minutes you actually used, and to keep your account secure. We do not use your reminders, recordings or transcripts for advertising, and we do not use them to train AI models.

AI and automated processing

The voice on the call is an AI agent, not a person. Your reminder text, preferred language, timezone and first name are sent to our voice provider so the agent can place the call and hold a short conversation; a large language model generates what it says. That provider also records the audio, produces the transcript, and generates the summary and sentiment label. The results are stored in our own database.

Service providers

Calls and the voice agent are delivered by our voice infrastructure provider, which also hosts the audio recordings. Phone verification messages are sent through Twilio. Payments are handled by Stripe, which stores your card details — we never see or store a card number. Profile pictures are stored with Vercel Blob and our database is hosted with Neon. Each processes only what it needs to perform its service.

Billing

RemCall is sold as a monthly plan that includes a set number of reminder minutes. Each call uses at least one minute, rounded up to the next whole minute. Plan minutes refresh at the start of each billing period and do not roll over; minutes bought separately as a top-up do not expire. You can change plan or cancel at any time, and rates may change with notice.

How long we keep it

Reminders, transcripts, summaries and links to recordings are kept until you delete your account, or twelve months after the call, whichever comes first. Deleting your account removes your reminders, call history, profile picture and account record, and cancels any active billing.

Your choices

You can view and delete any reminder at any time, edit or remove your name and profile picture, and delete your account outright from Profile, Security, Delete account. Deleting is immediate and permanent — there is no deactivated state and no recovery.

Security

Passwords are hashed, access is authenticated with per-device tokens, and sign-up and verification are rate-limited. No system is perfectly secure, so use a strong, unique password.
